I'm Gina, the treasure hunter, jewelry creator, garden enthusiast, and creative spirit behind this little corner of fabulousness!

For as long as I can remember, I've been drawn to things with character—beautiful old jewelry, forgotten treasures, unusual finds, colorful gardens, and anything that makes me stop and say, "Oh, I could do something with that!"

I love the thrill of discovering something unexpected. Give me a charming thrift shop, an estate sale, a box of vintage jewelry, or an afternoon in the garden, and I'm one happy girl!

But what I love even more is imagining what those treasures could become.

So, Why The Sassy Magpie?

Well, I'm glad you asked!

Magpies have a reputation for being curious, clever birds with a fascination for interesting and shiny objects. And while their love of collecting shiny things may be more folklore than fact, I couldn't help but recognize a little of myself in that charming reputation!

I'm forever collecting things that catch my eye—sparkling brooches, vintage buttons, old books, interesting trinkets, and beautiful little treasures that others might overlook.

And the Sassy part?

Well, because I've always believed life is far too short to be ordinary!

I love a little sparkle, a splash of color, unexpected combinations, and pieces that make a statement. I believe personal style should be fun, creative, and unapologetically YOU.

And just like that, The Sassy Magpie was born!

A Teacher at Heart. A Creator by Nature.

My professional life has been devoted to education, helping others learn, grow, and discover their potential. Teaching has always been part of who I am, but so has creating.

Whether I'm designing a statement necklace, transforming vintage treasures, experimenting with a junk journal, or digging in the garden, I find joy in learning something new and sharing that excitement with others.

In many ways, creativity and teaching go hand in hand. Both are about seeing possibilities, inspiring imagination, and discovering something wonderful along the way.

The Sassy Magpie gives me a place to bring those passions together.

Giving Forgotten Treasures a Second Chance

There's something special about an object that has lived a life before finding its way into yours.

An old brooch might have once adorned someone's favorite dress. A strand of pearls may have been worn to a special celebration. A handwritten note tucked inside a vintage book might hold a story we'll never fully know.

I love imagining those stories—and finding ways to give these treasures a beautiful new chapter.

That's why I especially enjoy creating one-of-a-kind jewelry using vintage and repurposed pieces. I also welcome custom creation requests, giving you the opportunity to share your own inspiration or sentimental treasures and explore what they might become.

Because sometimes the most meaningful pieces aren't brand new. They're the ones that carry a little history, a little personality, and a whole lot of heart.
